This map shows our route, starting from the snowcovered road at upper left and and following Heliotrope Ridge to the Coleman and Deming Glaciers to the summit. After leaving the road, we headed up the large bowl west of Heliotrope Ridge as the sun set, reaching a decent campsite by 10 PM on a moraine at 5900 ft. We melted some snow to replenish our water and then bivied for the night.
